Amunet 500MW wind power project in Egypt
The Amunet 500MW wind project is located about 300km south-east of Cairo and 8km north of Ras Qarib with a total capacity of 500.5 MW. It covers the 500.5 MW wind farm area, including fan, Fan Foundation, lifting platform, collecting line, road, Wind Tower, 33/220kV booster station design, procurement, installation, commissioning and access road. It is planned to install 77 vision en 6.5-171/H94.5 m wind turbines, and 39 wind turbines are planned to be installed in this section.

The wind speed in the project site is always high, which brings great challenge to the hoisting work. In view of the characteristics of fast wind speed and heavy weight, the Chinese team carefully organized, scientific planning, safe construction. According to the conditions of road and crane position, the domestic large crawler crane is selected as the main crane, and the whole crane is directly driven in the transfer yard, so that the first crane is completed smoothly.

The launch of a 500MW wind farm in Egypt is not only a milestone in Egypt's energy transition, but also highlights China's technological prowess and international influence in the new energy sector. As the project progresses, We believe it will contribute more to the energy transition and green development in Egypt and globally.

SUEZ 1.1GW Wind Power Project
The SUEZ 1.1GW Wind Power Project is located approximately 300 kilometers southeast of Cairo, Egypt, and about 8 kilometers north of Ras Gharib, with a total installed capacity of 1.1 GW. As one of Egypt’s key renewable energy projects, it aims to accelerate the country’s transition to green energy.
Once completed, the project will provide a substantial and continuous supply of clean and sustainable electricity, making an important contribution to Egypt’s strategic goal of increasing the share of renewable energy in its energy mix by 2035.

The project’s construction scope includes the design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of key infrastructure such as wind turbines, turbine foundations, lifting platforms, collection lines, internal access roads, meteorological towers, and 33/220kV substations. It also covers the construction of access roads to the site to ensure the smooth execution of the project.

The project plans to install a total of 69 Vestas EN8.0-171 wind turbines, with a hub height of 100 meters, of which 34 turbines are scheduled for installation in this phase. These advanced turbines are designed to efficiently harness the local wind resources, continuously generate clean electricity, and meet the growing demand for power.

Through the implementation of the SUEZ 1.1GW Wind Power Project, Egypt will significantly expand its wind power capacity and further optimize its national energy structure. In addition, the project will have a positive impact on employment, economic development, and energy security. The successful completion of the project will not only strongly support Egypt’s sustainable development goals but also lay a solid foundation for the continued growth of the wind power industry in the future.
