Waad Al Shamal project in KSA(500MW)
The Waad Al Shamal Wind Power Project, located in the Turaif area of Saudi Arabia's Northern Borders Province, is a key part of the country's National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) Round 4. With a total installed capacity of 500 MW, the project aims to significantly contribute to Saudi Arabia's renewable energy goals. It will consist of 67 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 7.7 MW, providing clean electricity to meet local power demands. The project is scheduled to achieve full grid connection by 2026.

FuJiang Electric, as the wind turbine installation service provider, successfully overcame extreme site conditions, including scorching heat, sandstorms, large day-night temperature differences, significant terrain elevation variations, and complex wind conditions. The team efficiently completed the high-altitude lifting of critical components such as towers, nacelles, and blades, ensuring that all tasks were executed safely and to a high standard.

This landmark project will significantly increase the share of renewable energy in Saudi Arabia's power generation mix, supporting the country’s transition to a more sustainable energy future and contributing to its long-term green energy goals.
